Webflow is the most powerful no-code website builder available — but it is not for everyone. While Wix and Squarespace are built for beginners, Webflow is built for designers and developers who want pixel-perfect control without writing code. In this full Webflow review, we cover everything: pricing, features, the learning curve, and who should (and shouldn’t) use it.
We built two complete websites in Webflow: a portfolio site using a pre-built template, and a custom landing page built from scratch. We tested the CMS, hosted the sites on Webflow’s CDN, set up e-commerce on the Basic plan, and compared the designer workflow against Wix and Squarespace. Testing ran over 3 weeks.

| Advanced animations and interactions built in | Free plan limited to 2 pages |

Ease of Use: The Learning Curve
Let us be honest: Webflow is not easy for beginners. The editor uses CSS concepts like margin, padding, flexbox, and grid — presented visually, but you still need to understand what they mean. Most beginners spend 10–20 hours learning the basics before building their first real site.
That said, once you clear the learning curve, Webflow is extraordinarily powerful. Our team found that after the initial 2-week adjustment period, building complex layouts in Webflow was significantly faster than fighting the limitations of Wix or Squarespace. Webflow University (free video courses) is excellent and dramatically shortens the learning time.
